About the Athletic Association

Mission

The Athletic Association of St. Elizabeth, together with the Office of Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM), coaches and parents, strives to provide the children of St. Elizabeth Parish with a positive sports experience. Participation in school sports can give a child a sense of belonging and help to promote self esteem, as well as physical well being. The focus is on good sportsmanship, Christian values, school pride & spirit.

For the Sake of God's Children

To protect all of our most precious resources, the St. Elizabeth Athletic Association fully supports and complies with the Diocese of Wilmington's For the Sake of God's Children initiative. This initiative is a program focused on the continuous development of a safe environment in our communities. The program has three major components:

  • Conducting Background Checks for Church Personnel
  • Ethical and Behavioral Standards for Church Personnel
  • Safe Environments

The diocesan website for this program also includes rules, guidelines, resources, and materials for the entire parish community.

Meetings

The Athletic Association typically meets the first and third Monday of every month from September through June, at seven o'clock in the AA room, which is just through the door at the base of the steps to The Box (the elementary school gym).

Members

The Association is made up of folks just like you who give their time and talents so that the children of St. Elizabeth's can participate in the sports programs. Come to a meeting and get involved. The association needs you.
