  • UPDATE - Saturday, January 21st

    Games will be played as scheduled.
  • Weather Notice for Saturday, 1/21

    Weather conditions may prevent us from playing games tomorrow, Saturday, January 21st.

    A decision will be made by 7:30AM for the first game at a minimum.  If we can determine the outcome of the whole day at that time that will be done.  If we think we can salvage later games we may wait until 9:00AM to make the decision for the 10:45 and 12PM games.  

    If we stay on schedule: a confirmation email will be sent to the coaches, Official Contact, and facility contacts, and a notice posted here on the website.   

    If we need to cancel game(s):
     
    1st action will be to contact coaches:  get an email out and then begin to make phone calls for 
    the 9:30 Game - Holy Angel and IHM for 1/21, and others depending on what decisions have been made at that time.

    2nd - Confirm with Helen regarding Officials
    3rd - Get a note up on the website 
    4th - Confirm with Susan Teoli for Concessions  (because we know you will want coffee!)

  • Week Four of Competition

    St John grabbed two wins for the weekend!  A 21 - 10 victory over IHM, along with a success over St Mary Assumption.  SMA was down by 10 at the half, fought back through the third to get within four, but couldn't sustain the offense eventually falling by seven at the time of the final buzzer.

    Friday night's contest between St Mary Magdalen and St Elizabeth ended with SMM succeeding for the win, 26 - 20.  The match up between St Elizabeth and Holy Angels resulted in the latter going up one more notch in the W column.   

    The exciting game of the weekend was the shoot out between St Ann and St Mary Assumption.  SMA jumped out in the first half dropping eight points a quarter.  St Ann rallied in the second half, matching offensive production for the third quarter, and outscoring SMA for the fourth quarter, but couldn't get past the Hawks to take the win.  The final score ~ 23 - 22.  
  • Week Three of the 2011 - 2012 Season

    St Mary Magdalen split with a win over St John, 21 - 9, and a close loss to St Ann at 21 - 18.  St Elizabeth followed suit the next day with a 3 point loss to St Ann, 19 - 16, and garnered a win over IHM.

    St Mary Assumption and Holy Angels came to the court matched with three wins each, St Mary Assumption came out strong, however were ultimately defeated in the contest.  
  • Week Two of the 2011 - 2012 Season

    Second week of action in the Box 

    St Mary Assumption came away victorious on Friday night with a 25 - 14 win over IHM.  

    Saturday's excitement started with St Elizabeth matching up with St John.  Two buckets in the final moments pushed St Johns ahead and for the win, 21 - 18.  Holy Angels and St Ann played the middle game, St Ann hard working until the final horn falling to the Angels, 39 - 14.  

    The day wrapped up with IHM and St Mary Magdalen ~ thrilling action quarter to quarter with 4 points separating the two at the start of the 4th.  SMM dumped in 7 points to IHM's 3 in the final quarter to grab the win, 23 - 15.

    We have one more week of games before the holiday break, and then resuming play on January 6th.

    It's a pair of St. Mary's to kick-off the 2011 - 12 season.
    St Mary Magdalen took on St. Mary Assumption in the league opener Friday night at the Box.

    St Mary Assumption came away with two wins for the weekend, topping St Mary Magdalen 25-18, and a close contest against St Elizabeth on Saturday, with a score of 28-24.  

    Holy Angels grabbed a pair of W's for the weekend activity, a win Friday night against IHM 38-12, and another Saturday afternoon vs. St Mary Magdalen 36-12.   

    St Ann and St John ran a close battle to the half (11-9), with St Ann coming away with the victory in the end with a final score of 24-10.

    Week one proved to be entertaining with a couple of tight games and the first look across all the teams.

  • IHM Grabs the Gold Division Title St. Mary Magdalen is named Champion for the Maroon Division

    A fabulous display of effort and talent to start off the St. Elizabeth Girls Basketball League Championship Day in the E Center!

    Gold Division
    The IHM Spartans racked up 29 points in the contest against the St. Anthony Tigers to earn the Champion title for the Gold Division.  Excellent play from both teams as they worked through the 24 minutes on the clock.  IHM was led by Emily Stuebing with 12 points, and Olivia Winslow and  Addy Runco chipped in 4 each for the Lady Tigers.  
    Final score: 29 - 15.  

    Maroon Division
    The Bulldogs from St. Mary Magdalen tallied 16 points to overcome the Eagles from St. John the Beloved, to be named the Champion of the Maroon Division.  Allison Olmstead and Maggie Connelly contributed 5 points for St. Mary Magdaglen.  St John was led by Sarah Peel with 6 points for the Eagles.  

    Wonderful effort by all the players for Championship Day!

  • Playoff Schedule Posted - Revised Seed/Game Times

    Can you believe it is the end of February and we're into the playoff round?!!

    REVISED SCHEDULE POSTED

    The schedule has been posted, click on the 2010 - 2011 Season Schedule to view teams and game times.  The seeding is correct for each of the divisions - division playoff games are now grouped together.  This should alleviate folks having to return to the gym or sit through two games to see who their next and final opponent will be.  

    Thanks for the flexibility ~ it's been a learning year.....in lots of ways!   


  • Week 9

    The competition definitely continues at the St. E League!

    Three of the five contests ended in a three point or less variance.  Due to rescheduling, Holy Angels and St Johns squared off twice this weekend.  Two very spirited contests ~ players from both teams digging deep in the quest of grabbing the W!!

    The St. Mary duo (Magdalen and Assumption) faced off with the scoreboard showing St. Mary Magdalen the victor by three points.  Maggie Connolly dropped 7 for the Bulldogs, and Hannah McDermott (SMA) going one more for a total of 8.  

    St. Anthony and St. Ann traded halves ~ St. Ann had the lead at the half, 11-6, with Rose Freel the primary contributor with 7 points.  However, St. Anthony kicked into high gear in the fourth quarter, with Miss Runco delivering 11 points to bring the Tigers to a 19-16 win.  

    The final game of the day was between St. Elizabeth and IHM.  The vikings were three buckets behind heading into the fourth quarter, but couldn't get any more shots to fall ~ IHM earned the win.

  • Important News ~ Schedule Changes for Friday, 2/4

    Due to scheduling conflicts with tournament play the games from this evening were moved to Saturday, February 12.  The schedule has been revised and posted here on the site.

    Thank you to all the coaches, player parents, concession parents, Concession Coordinator, and Official Coordinator for your flexibility and cooperation.  It is very appreciated!
